About dialogue: She said, he said. p2

Let’s continue babbling about how to use dialogue and the things I don’t understand.

DESCRIBE WHAT THE CHARACTERS DO AS THEY TALK

This technique is used to keep interest and to add subtext and tone.

It isn’t the same to say:
Mariana, very angry, said he was an @__35-;!

To to say:
Mariana said he was an #44_67 whilst trying to scratch his face.

Mostly, bad words are enough to show how much of a bother the guy is. Unless we use this:
Mariana said he was an #4#4, holding the front flaps of his jacket and licking his lips.

That turns everything into an erotic game. It all belongs to the rule: show, don’t tell in the technical side of things; plus, avoiding the adverbs.

USE TAGS

A common place in manga and webtoon are ‘lost’ dialogue balloons associated to no one. They’re upsetting and make reading difficult. So, to avoid your reader getting lost, make dialogue as clean as possible. Andrea Camilleri won’t as much as use identification tags to name the person speaking but, in exchange, he would write dialogues of only two speakers alternatively speaking.

Unlike what happens in a meeting room filled with people. Here, we need the tags and those have to be as invisible as spider cobs are to flies. Reason why not to say: ‘her voice fell like a leaf on the woods’ and that’s the second convention I’ve broken. And I remind you, I never been published and I just write nonsense.

I pray in hate

Oh, how much I wish they go licking your nether regions.
And show you their gaping holes.
But you’re still alone.
Unseen and abandoned.
Wrapped in their skin,
Your heart unaccompanied.

Well fucked,
Nipple pampered.
But spoken about nothing;
Orphaned of loyalty.

While I alone,
enjoy a slice of cake,
Desserts better than sex.
And laugh my time away with a good friend.

Note

I don’t really hate anyone but for a moment, some people arise in me certain unhealthy wishes. Like the wish to own a telescopic rifle and shoot them. Fortunately for me, the urge is quieted by writing. Such is the result. I hope it is good enough to make you smirk and understand how sometimes we all share a bad day for one or other reasons. So if you’re a sexual person but haven’t crossed me with unrequited attention; believe me, I wish you what you need, the way you need it, at the time it is required. Pasto Kalo.

When we lack one of the following three  p1

And the following three are:
Beauty
Money
Talent

NON RELATABLE

Do you remember… No, you might not since this could be the very first time you’re reading me nonsensing.

Some time ago, some love novel or feminine literature went garbage bin since it wasn’t relatable to, at all. The main character? A 19 y.o. genius girl who becomes a mental slightly bent billionaire’s shrink.  Lodging including in his house.

Me… Middle aged, not stupid but not a MENSA member and definitely average (except for the asexuality). Thus… But last day (by the time of the original entry indeed), I uncovered the Venus martian alien conspiracy!

AMBITION AND REALITY

What makes such writing successful is what Min Ye Rin in Perfum or Parfum’s (페픔) chapter 13th declares in his lines: not many of us will happen to come upon the experience.

Humans, we are animals who love keeping each other within the same communal misery frame[1] We love movies portraying expensive cars… (How much is a Bentley? Would an absent minded me ask… —when it is more probable I have an idea on how much a Shire horse costs); being vandalized, destroyed, stolen. Did anyone call the insurance company?

James Bond. We love him traveling first class and calling on all those expensive places we only dream with going to (I only dream going to the Transiberian train) and we wouldn’t being able to go after saving all our life.

Right. If it is all about entering a house ceiling higher than 1.9 m and a bathroom two Paris apartments size… No doubt it is something very few of us will have. That for those with capitalism values, at least. I like the birds coming to the evergreen and making a ruckus more than Hilton hotel logos in my gowns. I don’t even have any gown.
