Some dream I had

“Wait here, she will come”

On the couch of a living,

I saw your back thinking.

Calling me at home

[indeed this home I ignore].

Expecting what; I would never guess.

Then some kid of the house I sent

[Whose? We live two a-place].

For you to get up and tear upstairs

Whilst breakfast I prepared.

[Why of all the meals, the first?]

A sweet pup, human like,

Complained about his dwell

By flies’ delirium effluved.

And I made a promise,

As if power I retained.

That same week-end,

By the matron witch ordered,

Showing the silver bate in velvet wrap,

The one relic we trusted in establishment.

Right there the kitchen held

A whole shelf of sweet treats.

Colours I could on cue still retain;

Contents nayh.

Tore upstairs and what is there?

Irrational and yet sound in existence;

A whole neighbourhood

With dangerous crooks,

Rooms and rooms and

Ropes for clothes to dry at sun

[under roof?]

Light’s intense,

The cat aside,

The scene washed out and wakes me slow.
